When Swami drove the car in Holland... - By Parthish

Once, Mr. Mahadevan from Harlem in Holland was returning from Belgium to Holland by car at night. The very next day he was supposed to come to Prashanti Nilayam. His wife and children were also in the same car. As night advanced, they all fell asleep leaving only him awake. He was driving the car at 140 km/hr and seeing everyone sleeping, he too fell asleep. You can imagine what could have happened but did not happen. Swami caught hold of his hand and started driving. After sometime as he woke up, he could feel that someone was catching his hand and was driving. He knew that it was Swami who had come to his rescue and saved him. He reached Harlem safely and was able to come to Prashanti Nilayam the next day. That is why, Swami says that whoever comes here (to Parthi), it is only by Swami’s will that he comes. Once Swami calls a person, He looks after him every moment. Therefore Swami says, Why fear when Swami is here.”

Once, there lived a couple with their children – four sons and two daughters in Harlem in Holland. All of them were originally Surinamese settled in Holland. They were all staunch devotees of Swami. Once it so happened that the couple had come to Prashanti Nilayam for a few days. When it was time for them to return, they began purchasing lockets and rings of Swami and Vibhuti packets for the devotees in Holland. When they reached home they gave the devotees what they wanted. One of the devotee’s sons had asked for a locket and he got a locket with Swami on the front and Shirdi Baba at the back. He was a staunch devotee of Hanuman. When he saw the locket, he prayed to Swami, “How I wish that the locket had Swami on the front and Hanuman at the back.” The night rolled by and his wish remained a wish but the next morning it was not the same. As he had his bath and returned to his Puja room, there was a change in the locket to his utter surprise. Swami was on the front and Shirdi Baba turned into Hanuman carrying the Sanjeevani Mountain. You can imagine his joy. Although Swami was thousands of miles away physically, yet He had heard his prayers and answered them. This shows Swami’s omnipresence. Thereafter I have seen only one locket, with Swami on the front and Hanuman at the back.

Once we had to attend Bhajans in Brussels. As that place was new to us, my father had given us the address and due to some work, he left early. When my mother and I reached a particular place in Brussels we had to catch a train and get down after the fifth stop. So, as we got into the train I started counting the number of stoppages and after the third stop a man looking like a typical Belgian, wearing pant, shirt and a coat came and sat next to me and asked my mother where we were going. After hearing us he told us that we had to get down after the fourth stop and not the fifth stop. And as our stop was near he asked us to get down immediately. As the train had already stopped we immediately  got down and as we got down my mother looked back into the train to thank that man, but to our utter surprise, he was not to be found. Had Swami not helped us that day, we would have reached somewhere else and not been able to attend Bhajans.
