MEANING
By seeking Your refuge and singing Your praises, our lives have found fulfilment. When we firmly establish that God bestows everything, and light the lamps of gratitude, Divinity nods its head in assent.
You said – be it Rama, Rahim, Nanak or Christ, they are all the representatives of God; therefore do not fight in the name of religion. You have uplifted humanity. Having drunk the poison all by Yourself, You have showered Your grace on us. You are the eternal light to this world.
You cured all the ailments; rid us of all the troubles, and quenched the thirst of Your devotees. To those who have sought refuge in You, You have given them their fruits. You have stood as an example to one and all equally. Taking our pains upon Yourself, You have gifted us a new life. You are the living icon of auspiciousness.
You said – be it the beginning or the end, the whole essence is Yourself.
Be it the learned or the dunce, the rich or the renunciants, the path for all to God is by devotion. You are the fruit of peace born out of the tree of patience. You are the Teacher of all teachers.
