When Sri Sathya Sai corrected Smt. Anjali Devi and Smt. P. Suseela

Sunday, November 30, 1980

Bhagavan visited the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Shibiram located on the Bangalore highway close to Bagepalli on this day. He told the organisers, “My blessings are always available in plenty to whosoever is dedicated to doing good.” Inspired by Bhagavan’s blessings, the Seva Shibiram dedicated itself to the establishment of a Seva Sadan in the form of an orphanage and an old age home. During that visit, Bhagavan named this Shibiram ‘Prema Kuteeram’.

It so happened that Smt. Anjali Devi and Smt. P. Suseela, the well-known figures in the film world were traveling to Puttaparthi that day. Enroute, they were passing Bagepalli. The organisers at the Prema Kuteeram offered them Prasadam. But the famed travelers mistook them to be the usual run of cinema fans. Disdaining the kind offer they went their way.

Later when they were with Swami He gently admonished them, “I am present not only in Prashanti Nilayam but also in the Seva Shibiram in Bagepalli.” The lesson went home. On their return journey they visited the Shibiram and apologised to the organisers. They humbly accepted the Prasadam from them before resuming their journey.
