Bhagavan inaugurated the New Museum, ‘Chaitanya Jyoti,’ on 19th November 2000 at Puttaparthi. This unprecedented Museum houses the details about the Life, Mission and Teachings of the Avatar of Kali Age, Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Bhagavan was received with traditional honours on His arrival at the venue. He then pressed the automatic switch at 8 am, to open the main entrance door of the building. He lighted the sacred lamps near the Ganesha statue in the entrance hall. Bhagavan was led to the 1st level lobby where He pulled the ribbon to open the entrance door. He released a bunch of balloons from the balcony of the Museum to mark the inauguration of the Stupa built in the main entrance of the complex. Sri Hira from Japan made a brief speech. Bhagavan, in His conversation with Dr. Goldstein, mentioned that Chaitanya Jyoti is the ‘Wonder of the 21st century’.
