Sri Sathya Sai at the footsteps of Trayee Brindavan |
Swami came at 4.25 pm. He spoke to a kitchen boy and others including a Hospital Boy, whom Swami had permitted to come for Bhajans on Saturdays. Swami came and sat on the Jhoola. He asked the students not to come front. Swami then spoke to a student sitting close by.
Swami : (To another student) What are you studying?
Student : Swami, finished B.A.
Swami : (Smiling) B.A. plus D? (To another student) Which class?
Student : B.Com. Swami.
Swami : What class did the other boy tell?
Student : B.A. Swami.
Swami : B.A. plus D? BAD.
Swami then called Major General Mahadevan (Retired as GOC of Andhra comprising all the four states of southern India; awarded the AVSM by Government of India; Former Chairman, Tamil Nadu Public Services Commission; and Former President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Tamil Nadu), “Enna Mahadevan”. The General came forward and took Namaskar. He then began his speech. When he spoke about Swami, Swami interjected saying, “Tell about your experience”. When General Mahadevan said that while other Gods showed only one hand in Abhayahasta, Swami showed both the hands, Swami made a face indicating a ‘No’. Swami made a face of surprise and laughter when General Mahadevan quoted a Sanskrit Shloka. When General Mahadevan started telling of the incident when Swami saved him from a car accident in Sri Lanka while going to Kadirgamam…
Swami : How many times you have told this?!
General : Shall I tell the helicopter incident?
Swami indicated him to continue. While he was telling this incident, Swami indicated to the Brindavan Warden to be ready. Swami then told General Mahadevan, “Enough”, who then concluded his speech. Swami blessed him after his speech and asked him to sit. Swami then asked the Brindavan Warden to speak. He spoke on the four promises that Swami had given him. Swami blessed him after his speech. Swami got up from the Jhoola and Aarti was offered at 5.15 pm. Before Aarti…
Swami : (To Brindavan Warden) Announce about tomorrow’s function at Rajmata’s house.
Brindavan Warden announced that the next evening, there would be Bhajans and Bhojan (feast) in Rajmata’s house. Swami corrected him telling, “Dinner”.
