Bhagavan arrived in New Delhi in the morning of the 6th of April 1982, and proceeded to the residence of Late Sri Sohan Lal, to condole the bereaved family. Bhagavan addressed the Office Bearers of the Organisation at the bungalow of Sri Kulwant Rai, State President of Delhi, at 4 pm that evening. He spoke of service as the most effective Sadhana to achieve the vision of the One in the many. 

Bhagavan stayed with Justice Bhagawati of the Supreme Court of India. The judges of the Supreme Court; Ministers of the Central Government; Ambassadors to India from Western, African and Middle-Eastern countries; Officers of the Central Secretariat; Leaders of Political Parties; Executives of business houses and others were able to have audience with Bhagavan at Justice Bhagawati’s residence.

Bhagavan addressed a mammoth gathering at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan on 7th April. Bhagavan’s Discourse in Telugu was translated into Hindi by Sri Panduranga Rao, Director of Languages (Hindi) of the Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi.

Bhagavan blessed the ‘Bhoomi Puja’ ceremony for a school that would impart Education in Human Values, at Kalkaji Extension at 10 am on 8th April. Bhagavan materialised a golden plate with mystic signs and symbols to be placed below the foundation stone.                                
Bhagavan addressed a gathering of intellectuals at Vigyan Bhavan that evening. Sri S.B. Chavan, Union Minster for Planning, presided over the meeting. 

Bhagavan proceeded by car to Rishikesh and then to Mussorie in the Himalayan foot-hills on 9th morning.

Enroute, He halted at Ghaziabad and inaugurated a Shiva Mandir where a life size portrait of Bhagavan was installed inside the Shiva Linga with His blessings.

The joy of the devotees knew no bounds when Bhagavan entered the Linga and gave Darshan to the multitudes from inside the Linga.

Bhagavan was welcomed at Meerut by Sri D.D. Gupta, Convener of Uttar Pradesh State Trust.

Bhagavan gave Darshan to thousands of devotees at Roorkee, Haridwar and Rishikesh.

He inaugurated the ‘Prajnana Pradarshan’ (exhibition on spiritual topics) at Rishikesh in a new building owned by the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation of Uttar Pradesh on the 9th.

Bhagavan blessed a Bhoomi Puja performed with Vedic ceremonies for a ‘Veda Shastra Pathashala’ at Rishikesh that would be administered by the Sathya Sai Organisation of Uttar Pradesh.

He gave guidelines to the Trust Members about using the 'Pathashala' as a service centre and guided them about the curricula.

Bhagavan then proceeded at 4 pm to visit the Divine Life Society at Rishikesh in order to honour the invitation of Swami Chidanandaji. He blessed the ‘Bhagavata Saptaha’ being conducted there. He delighted the gathering by singing a few Bhajans. 
Bhagavan reached Dehradun late in the evening and gave Darshan to the thousands assembled at the bungalow of Sri Sahni.

He proceeded to Mussoorie and reached there at 9 pm.

On 10th morning, Bhagavan laid the foundation for a children’s school at the site adjacent to the home of the Rani of Jind at Mussoorie.
Bhagavan returned to Delhi via Panipat and Karnal at 3.30 pm on 11th. At 6.30 pm, Bhagavan was welcomed with traditional temple insignia and Vedic chants to the ‘Ramotsava’ Music Festival at the Convention Hall of the Ashoka Hotel with Sri B.D. Jatti, Former Vice-President of India, as its Chairman. Vidwan Balamurali Krishna and Music Director Rajeswara Rao sang a few songs. Bhagavan addressed the assembly of distinguished citizens of Delhi. He materialised a golden ‘Mangala Sutra’ for the idol of Sita that was kept for worship.
